Sep. 4 3:05 PM PT4:05 PM MT5:05 PM CT6:05 PM ET22:05 GMT6:05 北京时间3:05 PM MST5:05 PM EST5:35 PM VEN-Lee's next start for the Texas Rangers is still to be decided. Lee felt some discomfort in the area of his back where he recently got a cortisone shot, and he didn't go through with his scheduled bullpen session before Saturday's game at Minnesota. He threw in the outfield instead. Analysis: The Rangers say Lee will try to throw again before Sunday's game, and then a decision will be made about whether he'll start Tuesday at Toronto. The Rangers also took out shortstop Elvis Andrus in the fourth inning on Saturday, replacing him with Cristian Guzman because of tightness in his hamstrings. Trailing 9-1, the Rangers also removed center fielder Josh Hamilton and catcher Bengie Molina. |
Sep. 3 4:19 PM PT5:19 PM MT6:19 PM CT7:19 PM ET23:19 GMT7:19 北京时间4:19 PM MST6:19 PM EST6:49 PM VEN-Lee returned to the Texas Rangers on Friday after spending the previous two days in Dallas, hoping that a cortisone shot in his ailing back will help him get back to his dominating self. Analysis: Lee had been getting progressively worse over his last four starts, culminating with a loss to Kansas City in which he lasted just 4 2-3 innings and allowed seven runs - four earned - on 10 hits. In his last four starts, spanning 23 innings pitched, Lee is 0-3 with a 9.00 ERA. He is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday, after which the team will determine if he will make his next scheduled start on Tuesday. |
Sep. 1 3:57 PM PT4:57 PM MT5:57 PM CT6:57 PM ET22:57 GMT6:57 北京时间3:57 PM MST5:57 PM EST6:27 PM VEN-Lee has returned to Texas to get a shot and have his ailing back checked out. Analysis: Lee is scheduled to rejoin the AL West leaders on Friday. Lee is 0-3 with an 8.28 ERA in his last five starts. He left after 4 2-3 innings, his shortest outing since Sept. 20, 2009. Analysis: Lee is winless in his past five starts with an 8.28 ERA while allowing 27 earned runs on 44 hits in 29 1-3 innings. |
Aug. 27 3:40 PM PT4:40 PM MT5:40 PM CT6:40 PM ET22:40 GMT6:40 北京时间3:40 PM MST5:40 PM EST6:10 PM VEN-Lee gave up five runs in five innings of a loss to Minnesota on Thursday. Analysis: Lee fell to 2-5 in his 10 starts for Texas since he was acquired from Seattle in a trade on July 9. Texas has won only three of those games. Despite an 8.39 ERA over his last four starts, he said there isn't reason to be concerned or reason to believe he's suffering fatigue from the Texas heat. He has a very favorable matchup against Kansas City next week although manager Ron Washington said he's considering giving Lee some extra rest. |
Aug. 22 10:12 AM PT11:12 AM MT12:12 PM CT1:12 PM ET17:12 GMT1:12 北京时间10:12 AM MST12:12 PM EST12:42 PM VEN-Lee was tagged for a career-high tying eight runs, 10 hits and a walk in a season-low 5 2-3 innings of an 8-4 loss to Baltimore on Saturday. Analysis: Lee had gone five starts since July 22 without surrendering a homer before yielding four against the Orioles. "They hit some good pitches and they hit some pitches I left over the plate," Lee said. "I missed my location several times and they made me pay for it." |
Aug. 17 1:44 PM PT2:44 PM MT3:44 PM CT4:44 PM ET20:44 GMT4:44 北京时间1:44 PM MST3:44 PM EST4:14 PM VEN-Lee gave up six runs and nine hits in 7 2-3 innings of a loss to the Rays on Monday. Analysis: Lee, who struck out 10, didn't allow a run until the fifth. He is 10-6 with a 2.77 ERA this season, but has a 4.50 ERA in four starts this month. |

He gave up four runs and didn't get a decision. Analysis: Lee's outing Wednesday matched his shortest of the season and ended his streak of 10 consecutive starts going at least eight innings. The left-hander has 137 strikeouts and only nine walks in 161 1-3 innings this season. |
Aug. 7 12:37 PM PT1:37 PM MT2:37 PM CT3:37 PM ET19:37 GMT3:37 北京时间12:37 PM MST2:37 PM EST3:07 PM VEN-Lee went at least eight innings for the 10th straight start in Friday's 5-1 win over Oakland. Analysis: Lee, who won for the first time in three starts, struck out eight and didn't walk a batter while giving up seven hits in eight innings. "I'm not going to sit here and pat myself on the back for anything," Lee said. "I just want to give my team a chance to win every time I take the mound." |
July 28 10:44 AM PT11:44 AM MT12:44 PM CT1:44 PM ET17:44 GMT1:44 北京时间10:44 AM MST12:44 PM EST1:14 PM VEN-Lee struck out a career-high 13 and scattered five hits in a nine-inning effort in Tuesday's 3-1, 10-inning win over Oakland. Analysis: Lee has lasted at least eight innings in eight straight starts, the longest streak in the majors since Toronto's Pat Hentgen had 12 in a row in 1996. Lee is 5-1 with a 1.92 ERA in his last five starts. He has 54 strikeouts and three walks during this stretch. |
July 23 10:50 AM PT11:50 AM MT12:50 PM CT1:50 PM ET17:50 GMT1:50 北京时间10:50 AM MST12:50 PM EST1:20 PM VEN-Lee allowed five hits over 8 1-3 innings to outpitch fellow All-Star Jered Weaver and the Texas Rangers beat the Los Angeles Angels 3-2 on Thursday night to give the AL West leaders a six-game lead over the second-place Angels. Analysis: Lee (9-4, 2.56 ERA) struck out four and didn't walk a batter in his third start since he was acquired from Seattle in a six-player deal on July 9. Lee was the loser in a 6-1 defeat to Baltimore in his Rangers debut on July 10, but he went nine innings. Lee also lasted nine innings in his second start for Texas on July 17, a no-decision in a game the Rangers lost to Boston 3-2 in 11 innings. |
July 18 10:01 AM PT11:01 AM MT12:01 PM CT1:01 PM ET17:01 GMT1:01 北京时间10:01 AM MST12:01 PM EST12:31 PM VEN-Lee was one out from a complete-game win at Boston on Saturday night, but he gave up a game-tying double to Kevin Youkilis and the Rangers lost 3-2 in 11 innings. Analysis: Lee was cruising all night, retiring 22 of 23 batters between the second and eighth. But he couldn't quite get it done in the ninth, leaving him without a victory in two starts since joining Texas. His next outing will come at home against the Angels - a team he's beaten four straight times - on Thursday. |
July 11 8:47 AM PT9:47 AM MT10:47 AM CT11:47 AM ET15:47 GMT23:47 北京时间8:47 AM MST10:47 AM EST11:17 AM VEN-Lee, the 2008 AL Cy Young winner the Rangers got from Seattle in a six-player deal Friday, threw his AL-best sixth complete game in a 6-1 loss to Baltimore on Saturday night. Analysis: The acquisition of Lee despite the Rangers' bankruptcy proceedings and uncertain ownership sent a clear message that they want to make a serious run at their first playoff appearance since 1999. The All-Star pitcher was one of the most coveted players on the market, and Texas beat the New York Yankees and numerous other teams in getting him. |
July 9 5:22 PM PT6:22 PM MT7:22 PM CT8:22 PM ET0:22 GMT8:22 北京时间5:22 PM MST7:22 PM EST7:52 PM VEN-The Seattle Mariners sent the ace left-hander and reliever Mark Lowe to the Rangers on Friday for rookie first baseman Justin Smoak and three minor leaguers. Texas also receives cash as part of the deal. Analysis: It was the third trade in less than a year for Lee, who can become a free agent after this season. The 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner went 8-3 with a 2.34 ERA in 13 starts for the Mariners, who acquired him from the Philadelphia Phillies in December. |
July 5 2:42 PM PT3:42 PM MT4:42 PM CT5:42 PM ET21:42 GMT5:42 北京时间2:42 PM MST4:42 PM EST5:12 PM VEN-Lee fell short of another complete game Sunday but earned his fourth straight win in an 8-1 victory in Detroit. Analysis: Lee, who had been trying to match the longest streak in the big leagues since Roy Halladay completed four in a row in April 2008, allowed one run on nine hits and a walk in eight innings. Lee (8-3) threw 111 pitches and matched a career high with 11 strikeouts in improving to 7-1 in his last nine starts. Two of the hits were grounders that bounced off his legs. |
June 30 2:58 PM PT3:58 PM MT4:58 PM CT5:58 PM ET21:58 GMT5:58 北京时间2:58 PM MST4:58 PM EST5:28 PM VEN-Lee beat the New York Yankees by pitching his third straight complete game to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 7-4 victory Tuesday night. Analysis: The left-hander gave up his first walk in almost a month, and a pair of solo home runs to Nick Swisher. But he still became the first Mariners pitcher with three complete games in a row since Randy Johnson in 1998. Perhaps the most remarkable stat for the ace is his five walks in 95 2-3 innings. |
June 24 3:10 PM PT4:10 PM MT5:10 PM CT6:10 PM ET22:10 GMT6:10 北京时间3:10 PM MST5:10 PM EST5:40 PM VEN-Lee is collecting complete games so routinely even superstars can't believe how great he is right now. He scattered nine hits for Seattle on Wednesday in an 8-1 win over the Cubs. Analysis: Seattle's prized winter acquisition struck out nine in his second consecutive complete game. ``Yeah, it went good,'' Lee said. ``Throwing strikes. Going at them. ... I feel good. I like where I'm at.'' |
June 19 1:13 PM PT2:13 PM MT3:13 PM CT4:13 PM ET20:13 GMT4:13 北京时间1:13 PM MST3:13 PM EST3:43 PM VEN-Lee struck out seven in a six-hitter and the Seattle Mariners beat Cincinnati 1-0 on Friday night to knock the Reds out of first place in the NL Central. Analysis: Lee showed why he could be one of the most coveted players on the market over the next two months. The left-hander, who won the 2008 AL Cy Young Award with Cleveland, lowered his ERA to 2.55 with his 16th career complete game. He has pitched at least seven innings in 10 of his 11 starts this season. |
June 13 9:50 AM PT10:50 AM MT11:50 AM CT12:50 PM ET16:50 GMT0:50 北京时间9:50 AM MST11:50 AM EST12:20 PM VEN-Lee threw another solid seven innings against the Padres on Saturday, giving up three runs and seven hits in a loss. Analysis: Lee has a 2.88 ERA and is 4-3 this season. He's allowed more than three earned runs in only two of his nine outings this season. |
June 9 1:15 PM PT2:15 PM MT3:15 PM CT4:15 PM ET20:15 GMT4:15 北京时间1:15 PM MST3:15 PM EST3:45 PM VEN-Lee pitched a complete game, striking out seven and walking none while limiting the Rangers to seven hits, all of which were singles. Lee lasted at least eight innings for the third game in a row and held the Rangers scoreless until the ninth inning, to help the Mariners snap a three-game losing streak with a 4-2 victory over the Rangers on Monday night. Analysis: Lee had struggled at Rangers Ballpark before this outing, in his six previous starts - one in each season from 2004-09 - the left-hander had a 9.19 ERA and had allowed at least six runs his last three times out. |
June 3 9:31 AM PT10:31 AM MT11:31 AM CT12:31 PM ET16:31 GMT0:31 北京时间9:31 AM MST11:31 AM EST12:01 PM VEN-Lee threw eight strong innings for Seattle and was on pace for his ninth career win against the Twins until the seventh when Minnesota got its lone run on Michael Cuddyer's homer to deep right-center field leading off the inning, but the Mariners still hung on to win 2-1 in extra-innings on Wednesday. Analysis: Lee is pitched significantly better on the road this year, posting a 1.93 ERA compared to a 3.68 ERA at home. |
May 29 3:37 PM PT4:37 PM MT5:37 PM CT6:37 PM ET22:37 GMT6:37 北京时间3:37 PM MST5:37 PM EST6:07 PM VEN-The 2008 Cy Young winner allowed three runs - two earned - and four hits with two walks in Friday's 8-3 win over the Angels. Lee (3-2) struck out 10 over eight innings in his 200th big league appearance. Analysis: Lee is 2-1 with a 1.93 ERA in three road starts. |
May 17 10:20 AM PT11:20 AM MT12:20 PM CT1:20 PM ET17:20 GMT1:20 北京时间10:20 AM MST12:20 PM EST12:50 PM VEN-Lee pitched a complete game loss to the Rays on Sunday. Analysis: Lee gave up two runs and five hits, striking out a season-high 10. Unfortunately his offense once again failed him. Lee is 1-2 this season and the Mariners have lost three of his four starts, but he has a 2.08 ERA, giving up seven earned runs in 30 1-3 innings. He has a 2.37 run support average. |
May 12 9:06 AM PT10:06 AM MT11:06 AM CT12:06 PM ET16:06 GMT0:06 北京时间9:06 AM MST11:06 AM EST11:36 AM VEN-Lee gave up one run before leaving in the eighth inning and the Mariners cruised past the punchless Orioles 5-1 on Tuesday night in a matchup of last-place teams. Analysis: Lee (1-1) allowed eight hits, struck out two and walked none in 7 1-3 innings. It was his third start since coming off the disabled list with an abdominal strain. |
May 2 11:12 AM PT12:12 PM MT1:12 PM CT2:12 PM ET18:12 GMT2:12 北京时间11:12 AM MST1:12 PM EST1:42 PM VEN-Lee doesn’t want to be distracted by contract talks during the season. Lee said Saturday he was unaware of an ESPN.com report that quoted his agent saying the left-hander is unlikely to sign an extension in Seattle and probably is headed to free agency when his contract expires after this season. Analysis: Lee’s agent, Darek Braunecker, told ESPN.com that there have not been significant discussions with Seattle about an extension, and free agency is the likely option. Lee confirmed he hasn’t been approached with anything and says it’s no secret he doesn’t want to talk about his contract during the season. “Basically during the season I want to focus on pitching and not worry about that stuff. That’s more spring training and offseason type of stuff,” Lee said |
May 1 8:50 AM PT9:50 AM MT10:50 AM CT11:50 AM ET15:50 GMT23:50 北京时间8:50 AM MST10:50 AM EST11:20 AM VEN-Lee was brilliant in his Mariners debut on Friday night, but he got no run support and Seattle lost 2-0 to Texas in 12 innings. Analysis: The 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner started the season on the disabled list due to an abdominal strain, but he certainly appeared at full strength at Safeco Field, allowing three hits with no walks and eight strikeouts in seven dominant innings. Lee is a top fantasy option as one of the league's best left-handers throwing in perhaps the most pitcher-friendly ballpark in the AL, but wins may sometimes be hard to come by given Seattle's meek lineup. |
Apr. 30 5:45 PM PT6:45 PM MT7:45 PM CT8:45 PM ET0:45 GMT8:45 北京时间5:45 PM MST7:45 PM EST8:15 PM VEN-The Mariners have activated Lee from the 15-day disabled list Friday to make his long-awaited Seattle debut against Texas. Analysis: Lee has been out since he strained his abdomen during a spring training game on March 15. The 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner says he's been pain-free for weeks. But Seattle's prized winter acquisition from Philadelphia dutifully followed the team's cautious rehabilitation plan for his third strained abdomen since 2003 |
Apr. 20 10:28 AM PT11:28 AM MT12:28 PM CT1:28 PM ET17:28 GMT1:28 北京时间10:28 AM MST12:28 PM EST12:58 PM VEN-Major League Baseball has dropped Lee's five-game suspension. The team said Tuesday that MLB vice president of administration John McHale made the decision after last Wednesday's appeal hearing and that difficulties in recovering from foot surgery and a serious muscle strain were sufficient evidence to rescind the suspension and fine. Analysis: Lee was disciplined after being ejected from a March 15 spring training game in Tucson against the Diamondbacks in which a pitch nearly hit Arizona's Chris Snyder. Lee was placed on the 15-day disabled list April 4, retroactive to March 26, with an abdominal muscle strain. |
Apr. 30 7:45 PM PT8:45 PM MT9:45 PM CT10:45 PM ET2:45 GMT10:45 北京时间7:45 PM MST9:45 PM EST10:15 PM VEN-Lee will make his Mariners debut Friday night at Safeco Field. Analysis: The 2008 American League Cy Young Award winner says he is fully recovered from a strained abdomen that has had him delayed since March 15. He says he's anxious for his first start since Game 5 of the World Series in early November when he beat the New York Yankees for the Philadelphia Phillies. |
Mar. 31 12:45 PM PT1:45 PM MT2:45 PM CT3:45 PM ET19:45 GMT3:45 北京时间12:45 PM MST2:45 PM EST3:15 PM VEN-Lee says he didn't feel any pain after playing catch to test out his strained abdomen. Analysis: Lee threw off flat ground Wednesday. It was the first time he has thrown since being shut down last Thursday because of pain in his side. Still, he is likely to start the season on the disabled list. |
Mar. 29 12:27 PM PT1:27 PM MT2:27 PM CT3:27 PM ET19:27 GMT3:27 北京时间12:27 PM MST2:27 PM EST2:57 PM VEN-Lee will have to keep waiting for a hearing on his appeal of a five-game suspension. Analysis: The Mariners' co-ace said Monday that a hearing by teleconference with the league that had been scheduled for the morning from Phoenix was postponed because a league official could not make the appointment. Lee wants to get the issue resolved but says "it's on hold'' with no known makeup date. Lee was fined and suspended by the league for throwing over the head of Arizona's Chris Snyder on March 15. He had collided with Snyder earlier in the game. |
Mar. 27 1:39 PM PT2:39 PM MT3:39 PM CT4:39 PM ET20:39 GMT4:39 北京时间1:39 PM MST3:39 PM EST4:09 PM VEN-Lee is trying to get back to the mound as quickly as possible, and the Seattle Mariners aren't ruling anything out when it comes to treating the left-hander's strained abdomen. Analysis: The 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner has undergone platelet-rich plasma injection therapy in Seattle. The treatment has been used for the last decade mainly on joint issues such as tennis elbow, hamstring strains or other injuries in the limbs. Not on abdomens. That makes Lee something of a medical experiment. |
Mar. 26 9:46 AM PT10:46 AM MT11:46 AM CT12:46 PM ET16:46 GMT0:46 北京时间9:46 AM MST11:46 AM EST12:16 PM VEN-The Mariners are shutting Lee down for five days in hopes his strained abdomen heals, making it likely the 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner will begin his debut season in Seattle on the disabled list. Analysis: Manager Don Wakamatsu said Friday that the team's medical staff decided the 31-year-old left-hander will do no more throwing until at least Wednesday. Wakamatsu said the team is waiting to see how the injury responds to rest before determining if he will go on the DL. Seattle's prized winter acquisition from Philadelphia felt pain in his lower right abdomen for the second time in three days Thursday after throwing lightly on flat ground for a few minutes. |
Mar. 25 10:47 AM PT11:47 AM MT12:47 PM CT1:47 PM ET17:47 GMT1:47 北京时间10:47 AM MST12:47 PM EST1:17 PM VEN-Lee says he still feels his strained abdominal muscle following his second short throwing session on flat ground in three days. Analysis: The 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner said Thursday that the injury felt a bit better after five minutes of throwing in the outfield grass of a side field. Lee thought he would continue to throw off flat ground every other day for now. Each day he's not on a mound increases the likelihood Lee will be on the disabled list when the season begins April 5. |
Mar. 23 12:30 PM PT1:30 PM MT2:30 PM CT3:30 PM ET19:30 GMT3:30 北京时间12:30 PM MST2:30 PM EST3:00 PM VEN-Lee says he still feels some pain in his strained abdomen following his first on-field test of the injury. The 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner said Tuesday that his brief, light morning throwing session on flat ground went well and that the muscle feels much better. But he added "I still feel it." Analysis: Lee says he is scheduled to throw again on flat ground Thursday. He has no idea when he will be able to get on a mound again, making it possible he won't be ready when the season begins in less than two weeks. Lee also says he has a hearing with the league on Monday by teleconference in Phoenix over his appeal of a five-game suspension for throwing at the head of Arizona's Chris Snyder in a spring game. |
Apr. 10 1:38 PM PT2:38 PM MT3:38 PM CT4:38 PM ET20:38 GMT4:38 北京时间1:38 PM MST3:38 PM EST4:08 PM VEN-Lee was suspended Wednesday for the first five games of the regular season for throwing over the head of a hitter, possibly delaying his highly anticipated debut with the Mariners. He also was fined by Major League Baseball vice president of discipline Bob Watson. Analysis: The former AL Cy Young winner was ejected from Monday's exhibition game against Arizona after throwing inside to Chris Snyder, then zipping a fastball over his helmet. If the players' union appeals on Lee's behalf, the penalty would be delayed until after a hearing and a decision. |
Mar. 15 3:23 PM PT4:23 PM MT5:23 PM CT6:23 PM ET22:23 GMT6:23 北京时间3:23 PM MST5:23 PM EST5:53 PM VEN-Lee was ejected from a spring training game Monday against Arizona for throwing at Diamondbacks catcher Chris Snyder. With two outs in the bottom of the third inning, Lee threw an inside pitch to Snyder, then tossed one just over the batter's head. ``I was trying to go inside and a couple got away from me and the guy hitting got mad and came close to the mound and I got thrown out of the game in the process,'' Lee said. ``That's it in a nutshell.'' Analysis: Acquired from Philadelphia in a big trade this offseason, Lee was tagged for four runs and six hits before leaving the game. He said it was the first time he'd been thrown out of a spring training game. Lee said he went to a field behind the stadium to throw another 15 pitches to complete what was supposed to be a four-inning outing. |
Mar. 10 2:49 PM PT3:49 PM MT4:49 PM CT5:49 PM ET22:49 GMT6:49 北京时间3:49 PM MST5:49 PM EST6:19 PM VEN-Lee accomplished his primary objective in his spring debut for Seattle, throwing 36 of 46 pitches for strikes over three innings in the Mariners' 6-3 victory over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday. Analysis: The delayed debut of Seattle's prized offseason acquisition came after surgery last month to remove a bone spur in his left foot. The 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner gave up a run and five singles with a strikeout and a walk. Lee said his No. 1 goal against Texas was to locate his fastball. The left-hander said his foot is "a non-issue." |
Mar. 10 2:07 PM PT3:07 PM MT4:07 PM CT5:07 PM ET22:07 GMT6:07 北京时间3:07 PM MST5:07 PM EST5:37 PM VEN-Lee gave up one run in three innings Wednesday against the Rangers in his Seattle debut. Analysis: After being acquired from Cleveland, Lee posted a 3.39 ERA in 12 starts for the Phillies, then went 4-0 with a 1.56 mark in five postseason outings, including 2-0 in the World Series. That's exactly what the Mariners want to see from the southpaw. |
Feb. 20 3:14 PM PT4:14 PM MT5:14 PM CT6:14 PM ET23:14 GMT7:14 北京时间4:14 PM MST6:14 PM EST6:44 PM VEN-Lee, who still has strips of athletic tape covering the area of the surgery, is scheduled to take part in pitchers' fielding practice Monday and is expected to toss a bullpen session on Wednesday. Heavy rain at the Mariners' spring training complex prevented Lee from taking part in fielding practice on Saturday. Analysis: Lee is under contract through this season only, but has said he'll make the best of it with the hope that he has the kind of experience in Seattle that he had in Philadelphia. "It makes you feel good that you're wanted and that guys are getting the impression that you're going to help out the team that much,'' Lee said. ``It's still my job to do everything I know to do to prepare and get myself ready. That's where my focus is.'' |
Feb. 18 10:11 AM PT11:11 AM MT12:11 PM CT1:11 PM ET18:11 GMT2:11 北京时间11:11 AM MST1:11 PM EST1:41 PM VEN-The Mariners have set Feb. 24 as the target date for Lee's first bullpen session of spring training. Analysis: Lee is coming off of foot surgery, and his workouts have been limited. ``Cliff Lee will play catch, but other than that we're going to try to keep him off his feet for a couple of days,'' Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu said Thursday as the team warmed up for its first full workout of spring training. |
Feb. 17 11:35 AM PT12:35 PM MT1:35 PM CT2:35 PM ET19:35 GMT3:35 北京时间12:35 PM MST2:35 PM EST3:05 PM VEN-Lee has new spring training address in Arizona, the Seattle Mariners' complex, but it likely will be another week or more before he can pitch. Analysis: Acquired from Philadelphia in the biggest trade of the offseason, Lee has a bandage around his left foot following Feb. 5 surgery to remove a bone spur. He arrived Wednesday for a physical and said he's getting around fine. |
Feb. 8 6:06 PM PT7:06 PM MT8:06 PM CT9:06 PM ET2:06 GMT10:06 北京时间7:06 PM MST9:06 PM EST9:36 PM VEN-The Seattle Mariners say Lee is recovering from minor left foot surgery and will be limited when pitchers and catchers report to spring training this month. The team announced Monday that its biggest offseason acquisition had surgery Friday in his native Arkansas to remove a bone spur that broke loose and was floating in his left foot. Analysis: Lee was acquired from Philadelphia this winter in a complicated four-team deal. His injured foot is not in a cast, and he is continuing his upper-body exercise program. The Mariners says the 2008 AL Cy Young Award winner will "gradually return to all normal baseball activities" over the next two to three weeks. Seattle's first workout for pitchers and catchers is Feb. 18. |
