Analysis: Schneider, hitting .208 with three homers and 21 RBIs, will likely play this weekend against Arizona. He was available for Friday night's series opener but did not play. Schneider missed 41 games earlier this season with a strained back muscle.

Analysis: The catcher's home run was his third this season and first since June 21. The last time the Mets had gone at least 80 innings without a homer was April 15-25, 2002, and the previous team to go at least 80 innings without a home run was the San Francisco Giants, last year. They went 116 straight innings without a home run between July 22 and Aug. 5.

Analysis: It was the first home run of the season for Schneider, who's hitting .321 with seven RBIs in 10 games since returning from a six-week stint on the disabled list with a back injury. He's driven in at least one run in each of his last three games.
